In the spirit of building the best program for our kids where they can learn the necessary skills for playing ball, the Board has passed a motion to require that our coaches and assistant coaches have completed some formal training through the NCCP prior to being assigned as a coach or assistant coach for one of our teams.
For Baseball coaches we will require both the Rally Cap and Initiation Clinics. These 2 clinics give coaches the necessary skills for doing sound skill building with your players and will provide you with strategies and ideas for making the most out of your season.
Wetaskiwin Ball Club will reimburse the costs for anyone who completes the clinic(s) and successfully coaches one of our teams. While we only require the 2 introductory clinics for all coaches, we also highly encourage coaches to take the other clinics offered by the NCCP.
